Let’s virtually explore Chateau Genevie, a Bali-inspired private resort and event center located in Calamba City within the province of Laguna.

This was my 6th visit in Laguna. Prior to creating the Travel PH82 Guide, here are the places I've visited and activities I've tried.

You can use this as basis if you want side trips for your Chateau Genevie staycation.

There were supposed to be two targets for this recent visit: - Staycation at Chateau Genevie - Visit Hulugan Falls. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.

But that's okay, Chateau Genevie did not disappoint.

Start of Trip

🚌 Take the Calamba Laguna Bus at Jac Liner Terminal in Buendia

  • Booking Grab is the easiest way to go to this terminal.

  • Ask the conductor to drop you off at SM Calamba

  • Duration: 1 Hour

  • Fare: P125

Notes:

  • Started at 8 AM. No need to wake up early as the primary goal is to chill in this beautiful resort.

  • Also, the check-in time is at 2 PM and Laguna is only an hour of bus ride away. You don't want to wait too long.

🥄 Lunch at Mr. Kimbob in SM Calamba

  • From the bus drop-off point, take the overpass to cross the highway.

  • Mr. Kimbob is the first food stall that will welcome you upon entering the mall.

  • Sample Order: BBQ Samgyupsal (P185)

Notes:

  • You can roam around and shop while waiting for the check-in time.

  • You can ask Chateau Genevie to contact you if the room is already available or if you're allowed to use the amenities earlier.

  • You can check in early if there are no guests the day before or if the guests check out earlier.

  • Fare: P198

  • There are also tricycles outside for P100.

Resort Amenities and Activities

1. Take photos at their Bali-inspired gate

2. Themed Chalets

🌎 Their rooms are globally-inspired: Europe, Africa, America, Antartica, Asia, and Australia.

🖼️ The paintings and sheets are based on the theme. Really cool!

😍 The room comes with unlimited use of the swimming pool, an entertainment room with huge TV, play area for your kids, and breakfast the next day.

🛖 The rooms have clean bathrooms, a work table, a vanity table with lights (you’ll feel like a celebrity), complete toiletries, a hair dryer, and bath robes. The bed sheets and towels smell really good.

🎟️ All for P5,000 to P5,500 per night depending on the size of the chalet.

3. Restaurant and Entertainment Room

Eat your food in 3 different ways:

🏘️ Bali-inspired Restaurant with Aircon

🛖 Bali-inspired Hut - P1,200 (food is priced separately)

🛟 Floating Breakfast - P1,000 (with food)

(Most servings are good for 2 to 3)

🎥 You can watch a movie at their entertainment room and playroom for their kids after dinner and night swimming which I recommend. Free of charge. 🙌

4. Swimming Pool

🛖 Free and unlimited access when you book an accommodation

🛁 They have a jacuzzi where you can relax and have drinks

👶 They a dedicated pool for kids

5. Floating Breakfast

☕️ Eat breakfast like you’re in Bali but near Metro Manila

🥄 The package comes with toasts, eggs, jams (strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple), butter, coffee, and house blend iced tea.

⛵️ The beautiful presentation is only P1,000.

🌕 They also have an option for a floating candle light dinner. Perfect for a romantic meal with your partner.

6. Event Center and Function Halls

They also have facilities where you can host big events.

  1. Large Pavilion - 250 persons

  2. Medium Pavilion - 130 persons

  3. Small Pavilion - 60 persons

  4. Garden by the pool

🥄 Kusina ni Gracia at the SM Calamba Foodcourt

  • Sample order: Lechon Belly + Sinigang set (P289)

🥄 Eat Dessert at Koomi SM Calamba

  • Koomi is a yogurt drink and ice cream shop.

  • Sample order: Cheese Ube-be Froyo (P172).

Try to visit Lola Soap, a cute soap store inside the mall. Initially, I thought it was a pastry shop. 😆

🚌 Saint Rose Bus Terminal

  • Go to the 2nd floor of SM Calamba, then take the food bridge going to this terminal.

  • Premium bus: really comfortable and spacious recliner chairs with footrests, stow tables, and charging ports

  • Destinations: One Ayala Terminal in Makati, BGC, Alabang, etc.

  • Fair to Makati: P195

  • Duration: 1 Hour
